Professional & Reliable Immigration Legal Services

Reliance Law Group, PLLC.

My name is Alex Kononenko. I am the founder and managing partner of Reliance Law Group, a New York-based immigration and business law firm. My connection to immigration law is profoundly personal and has been a primary motivator of my career.

I was born in Eastern Europe, where I received my first J.D. degree and introduction to the legal profession while working for the government. I restarted my professional endeavor in the U.S. through a second law school education. Then I worked in the immigration, personal injury, civil, and business litigation fields and was admitted to the New York State Bar. After opening my office, I concentrated on immigration law because of my background and passion. I enjoy providing exceptional support, guidance and help for my clients as they overcome USCIS barriers. I am just one example of the millions of naturalized citizens who work hard every day with the determination and drive for a better life for themselves and their families. It's my mission to provide other immigrants with this same freedom on their journey. I have experienced the long-term separation from family that most immigrants endure. Nothing can replace the missed years of personal communication with relatives, especially parents. Sometimes USCIS regulations are unnecessarily harsh towards people trying to stay together. Yet, it is one of the most fulfilling parts of my practice to reunite these families who have been denied the opportunity to build a better future in the United States.

My team at Reliance Law Group believes strongly that immigrants always have and will continue to offer a flow of hardworking citizens, business owners, innovators, and creative individuals that fundamentally make the United States a better country.
